FARMINGTON, Utah-Thursday, Weber State men’s basketball junior point guard Dillon Jones was named as the Big Sky preseason MVP with his teammate, Wildcats senior guard Steven Verplancken, named to the all-conference preseason team.

Jones recorded 20 double-doubles last season for Weber State, posting 16.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.

Verplancken averaged 13.2 points last season for the Wildcats.
