Weber State Men’s Basketball’s Dillon Jones Named Big Sky MVP

FARMINGTON, Utah-Thursday, Weber State men’s basketball senior small forward Dillon Jones was named the MVP of the Big Sky Conference.

Jones is the 10th Wildcat in program history to win Big Sky Conference MVP honors and the first since Joel Bolomboy in 2016.

Jones averages 20.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for Weber State.

Additionally, Weber State junior shooting guard Steven Verplanckenn (12.2 points per game) earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors and Wildcats junior center Alex Tew  (26 blocked shots) was named to the All-Big Sky defensive team.

Jones, Verplancken, Tew and their Weber State teammates return to action Monday in the Big Sky Conference tournament at Boise, Idaho. The No. 4 Wildcats draw No. 5 Montana State.
