OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State senior linebacker Winston Reid was named as the Big Sky Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week for his heroics in the Wildcats’ 28-21 win over Northern Colorado.

Reid posted 10 tackles and the game-winning 40-yard pick six for the Wildcats in the comeback victory.

This was the first career touchdown for the native of St. George and former Copper Hills High School star.

Reid and his Weber State teammates return to action at home Saturday to host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in the Red Rock Rivalry.
