FARMINGTON, Utah-Monday, Weber State football junior kicker Kyle Thompson was named the Big Sky Conference special teams player of the week in the Wildcats’ 31-23 loss to Eastern Washington last Saturday at Cheney, Wash.

Thompson, a former American Fork High School star, is 9 of 12 on the season and has made 7 of his last 8 field goal attempts.

Thompson and his Weber State teammates return to action November 4 by visiting the Idaho State Bengals at Pocatello, Idaho.
