Weber State Football Duo Named Big Sky Players of the Week

OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State football posted two on the Big Sky Player of the Week sheet after the Wildcats concluded their season with a 48-21 win over Cal Poly.

Weber State freshman quarterback Richie Munoz was named the conference’s co-offensive player of the week and sophomore linebacker Josh Kelly was named the conference’s co-defensive player of the week.

Munoz completed 21 of 27 passes for 329 yards and five touchdowns against the Mustangs. Munoz’s five touchdown passes are the most in a single game for the Wildcats since 2012.

Kelly led the Wildcats’ defense against Cal Poly with an interception, a sack, a forced fumble and 2.5 tackles for a loss.
