SALT LAKE CITY-Jaxon Johnson netted 21 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 1 Alta Hawks dismantled No. 4 Timpview 72-60 Tuesday in the 5A state semifinals at The Huntsman Center. Dean Rueckert’s 25 points led the Thunderbirds in the loss. Alta next faces No. 2 Olympus Friday at 4:30 pm at The Huntsman Center for the 5A state championship.
SALT LAKE CITY-Reef Smylie posted 17 points and 5 rebounds and the No. 2 Olympus Titans overpowered No. 3 Highland 57-50 in the 5A state semifinals at The Huntsman Center Tuesday. George McConkie led the Rams in the loss with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

SALT LAKE CITY-Peyton Benkhe posted 20 points and the No. 2 Wasatch Wasps surged past No. 22 Springville 44-34 in the 5A state semifinals at The Huntsman Center Tuesday. Sami DelLamas had 11 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Red Devils. Wasatch next faces No. 1 Bountiful Friday at 11:00 am in the 5A state championship game at The Huntsman Center.
SALT LAKE CITY-Taylor Harvey netted 30 points and 7 rebounds and the No. 1 Bountiful Redhawks smacked No. 4 Box Elder Tuesday 61-53 in the 5A state semifinals at The Huntsman Center. Ashlyn Wight’s 20 points led the Bees in the loss.
