HEBER CITY, Utah-The Wasatch Wasps outlasted Spanish Fork 3-2 Thursday at The Nest in Region 7 volleyball play. The Wasps outlasted the Dons 25-17, 19-25, 25-8, 22-25, 15-7 to celebrate a successful Senior Night.

5A State Quarterfinals

HEBER CITY, Utah-The No. 6 Olympus Titans upset No. 3 Wasatch 3-1 on penalty kicks in the 5A state girls soccer quarterfinals Thursday. The Titans next face No. 10 Maple Mountain Tuesday at 5:30 pm in the state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium of Herriman.

CLEARFIELD, Utah-Kesley Jewkes scored the sole goal of the game and the No. 10 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles upset No. 2 Clearfield 1-0 Thursday in the 5A state girls soccer quarterfinals. Anya Gulley earned the shutout in the net for the Golden Eagles.

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah-Sydney Johnson and Paige Christensen each scored and the No. 8 Brighton Bengals blanked No. 16 Spanish Fork 2-0 in the 5A state girls soccer quarterfinals Thursday. The Bengals next draw No. 5 Bountiful in the 5A state girls soccer quarterfinals Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the state semifinals.

SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Emmy Sorenson, Ellyse Kessler and Coco Hellewell each scored and the No. 5 Bountiful RedHawks outlasted No. 4 Springville 6-5 on penalty kicks Thursday in the 5A state girls soccer quarterfinals. Mattie Neves recorded a hat trick in the loss for the Red Devils.
