ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Utah Tech football received two player of the week honors after the Trailblazers’ 50-36 win over Northern Arizona.
Junior placekicker Connor Brooksby was named the FedEx Ground FCS National Special Teams player of the week and freshman receiver Beau Sparks was honored with the United Athletic Conference’s Freshman of the Week award.
Brooksby set a new school record by making five field goals against the Lumberjacks and made all five of his PAT’s.
Sparks added 7 receptions for 87 yards against Northern Arizona.
Brooksby, Sparks and their Utah Tech teammates return to action Saturday by visiting Missouri State.
