SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Cole Carrigg homered and the Albuquerque Isotopes routed Salt Lake 12-2 Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play.

Eiberson Castellano posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Albuquerque.

Denzer Guzman and Trey Mancini drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Bees.

Following Saturday’s results, the Isotopes improved to 34-28 while the Bees slumped to 31-30.

The Bees go for the series win Sunday while the Isotopes seek to secure a split. Opening pitch in slated for 6:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.

Pioneer League

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Chase Valentine homered and the Ogden Raptors smoked Idaho Falls 17-10 Saturday in Pioneer League play at Melaleuca Field. Nico Saltaformaggio netted three strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Ty Dooley homered in defeat for the Chukars. Following Saturday’s results, the Raptors improved to 9-8 while the Chukars fell to 1-15. The squads return to action Sunday at Melaleuca Field for the final game in the series as Ogden, currently on a six-game winning streak, seeks to sweep the series.
