Utah Men’s Basketball Standout Earns Pac-12 Player of the Week Honors

SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah men’s basketball standout Branden Carlson was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Carlson, a 7-foot graduate senior out of Bingham High School and South Jordan, Utah, averaged 23.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Utes at the Charleston Classic.

Carlson’s attainments in a win over Wake Forest and losses to Houston and St. John’s, also landed him on the Charleston Classic All-Tournament Team.

Carlson is averaging 19.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game this season for the Utes.

Carlson and his Utes teammates are presently 3-2 on the season and return to action November 27 at Saint Mary’s.
