SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah football sophomore punter Jack Bouwmeester was named as the Pac-12 special teams player of the week as confirmed by the conference.

The sophomore punter out of Bendigo, Australia earned this honor for the second time in the past three weeks by averaging 47 yards on his three punts in a 31-7 win over Weber State Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Bouwmeester ranks No. 4 nationally at 48.8 yards per punt.

The Utes return to action Saturday by opening the Pac-12 season at home against the UCLA Bruins.
