Utah Basketball’s Branden Carlson Named To Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference Team

SAN FRANCISCO-Tuesday, Utah men’s basketball graduate student center Branden Carlson was named to the Pac-12 preseason all-conference  first team squad ahead of Wednesday’s Media Day from Las Vegas.

Carlson averaged 16.3 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Runnin’ Utes last season and will join Utah at media day alongside head coach Craig Smith and senior guard Rollie Worster.

Carlson, a native of South Jordan, Utah and former Bingham High School star, is joined on the first team by the following:

Arizona junior center Oumar Ballo

UCLA sophomore center Adem Bona

Washington graduate senior small forward Keion Brooks Jr.

USC freshman guard Isaiah Collier

Oregon senior power forward N’Faly Dante

Colorado senior forward Tristan Da Silva

USC senior point guard Boogie Ellis

Stanford senior small forward Spencer Jones

Colorado junior guard K.J. Simpson

The Utes will host their Salt Lake City neighbor, NCAA Division II Westminster,  November 1 for an exhibition at the Huntsman Center.
