SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, Alta High School boys basketball standout Jaxon Johnson signed with the University of Utah.
Johnson led the Hawks to the 5A state championship last season, averaging 16.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Johnson is also the defending 5A MVP from last season and has obtained academic all-region honors each season of his Alta career.
Johnson will serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before enrolling at the UofU and beginning his college basketball career.
