Former BYU/Dixie State/Eagles Standout Reno Mahe To Be Enshrined In Polynesian Football Hall of Fame

Thursday, former BYU/Dixie College  and Philadelphia Eagles star tailback/receiver Reno Mahe was announced as part of the Class of 2024 for the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.

Mahe, who starred at Brighton High School as well, played at BYU in 1998, running for 481 yards and seven touchdowns before being expelled for violating the honor code.

Mahe then transferred to Dixie College and became a receiver, leading the nation with 57 receptions for 1,387 yards and 19 scores.

Mahe returned to BYU in 2001, and caught 150 passes for 1,982 yards and 12 touchdowns in two seasons for the Cougars.

After being undrafted in 2003, Mahe joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie free agent and posted 2,026 scrimmage yards for Philadelphia from 2003-2007. Mahe played as a tailback and kick returner for the Eagles during his NFL career.

Mahe is joined in this class by former Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Domata Peko and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who played college football at Miami (Fla.) and played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in the 1995 season.

They will be inducted during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend January 19 and 20, 2024.
