SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah men’s basketball senior guard Deivon Smith was named the Pac-12 player of the week.
Smith, a 6-foot senior out of Decatur, Ga., averaged 19 points, 7.5 rebounds and 8 assists per game for the Utes as they swept Oregon State and Oregon.
Smith’s honors are the third such this season for the Runnin’ Utes and the first for Smith in 2023-24.
This is the first time since 2019-20 that Utah has had three players of the week honors in the same season.
This season, Smith is averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 assists per game for the Runnin’ Utes.
Smith and his Utah teammates return to action Wednesday at Washington State as the Pac-12 season continues for both squads.
