SALT LAKE CITY-Jared Walsh homered and Orlando Martinez homered while Jordyn Adams added an inside-the-park home run as the Salt Lake Bees downed Tacoma 7-5 Wednesday at Smith’s Ballpark. Brett Kerry posted nine strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Jarred Kelenic homered in defeat for Tacoma.

The Bees improved to 61-72 in winning their fourth straight game,  while the Rainiers fell to 71-63.

The Bees and Rainiers meet again Thursday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Josh Broughton and Nick Ultsch drove in two runs apiece and the Ogden Raptors downed Northern Colorado 5-3 Wednesday at Lindquist Field. Marshall Shill earned the win on the mound for the Raptors, while Brandon McCabe earned the save for Ogden.

Dave Matthews homered in the loss for the Owlz.
