SALT LAKE CITY-Livan Soto homered and the Salt Lake Bees outlasted Sacramento 6-5 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark in the season finale for both squads. Brett Kerry posted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Casey Schmitt and David Villar each homered in the loss for the River Cats.

The Bees ended the season at 70-79 and sent veteran Salt Lake City broadcaster Steve Klauke out a winner. Klauke, who has broadcast Bees games for the past 29 years, will remain as the voice of Weber State football and men’s basketball on Wildcats radio broadcasts.

Sacramento concludes the season at 67-82.
