RENO, Nev.-Adrian Del Castillo, David Martin, Tristin English and Diego Castillo each drove in a run and the Reno Aces overpowered Salt Lake 8-2 Wednesday at Greater Nevada Field.

Tyler Gilbert posted four strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Aces.

Jared Walsh homered in defeat for the Bees.

Reno improved to 80-60 on the season while the Bees fell to 65-74.

The Bees and Aces return to action Thursday at 7:35 pm at Greater Nevada Field.

Pioneer League

South Divisional Series Game 2

OGDEN, Utah-Jonathan Soto, Landen Barns and Logan Williams each homered and the Ogden Raptors forced a Game 3 in the Pioneer League South Divisional Series with a 9-4 win over Rocky Mountain Wednesday at Lindquist Field in Game 2.

Jake Mulholland posted six strikeouts in six innings of work and Dan Kubiuk added three strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work to earn the win and save for the Raptors, respectively.

Jake McMurray, Jacob Barfield, Austin Elder and Matt Hogan drove in a run apiece in defeat for Rocky Mountain.

The Raptors and Vibes play for the divisional series title Thursday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
