Helaman Casuga tossed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Tei Nacua and Quezon Villa and Tru To’a added touchdown runs in victory for the Thunderbirds. Chase Moseley tossed a pair of touchdown passes in defeat for the Titans. Timpview next faces No. 10 Bountiful for the 5A state championship November 17 at Rice-Eccles Stadium for a 6:30 pm kickoff.
SALT LAKE CITY-Emerson Geilman tossed two touchdown passes, including a game-winning strike to Faletau Satuala in the closing moments as the No. 10 Bountiful RedHawks outlasted No. 11 Alta 20-19 in the 5A state semifinals Thursday at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Siaki Fekitoa added a 1-yard touchdown run in victory for Bountiful. Matt McKea threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score in defeat for Alta. Jack McAllister made a pair of field goals in the loss for the Hawks.
