Church Appeals Ruling Halting Heber Valley Temple Construction

(Heber City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is appealing a ruling that temporarily halts construction of its Heber Valley Utah Temple. A 4th District Judge paused work last month pending a Utah Supreme Court decision. The halt follows a 2023 lawsuit by four Heber City residents who said the 200-foot temple would block views and cause noise, light, and other disturbances.
