(Undated) — The Utah Avalanche Center warns of considerable to high avalanche danger across northern Utah mountains due to heavy snow and strong winds. The alert covers the Wasatch Range, Bear River Range, and Western Uinta Mountains. On Friday, two riders were critically buried and swept hundreds of feet in a backcountry avalanche near Brighton Resort. Officials say more human-triggered avalanches are expected, with natural avalanches also possible.
