Weber State Men’s Basketball Visits Montana Saturday



MISSOULA, Mont.-Saturday, the Big Sky Conference-leading Weber State men’s basketball team visits Dahlberg Arena to face the Montana Grizzlies.

The Wildcats have won four consecutive games and are currently 13-6 overall and 7-1 in Big Sky play.

Weber State shoots 48.4 percent from the field on the season but has exceeded 50 percent shooting during every game in their current winning streak.

The Wildcats score 82.9 points per game and surrender 74.1 points per contest.

Their leading scorer remains star junior guard Jerrick Harding. The Wichita, Kan. native averages 21.4 points per game for the Wildcats.

Fellow junior guard Cody John averages 15.1 points per game and senior forward Brekkott Chapman nets 13.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest for the Wildcats.

The Grizzlies are close behind the Wildcats in the Big Sky standings as they are 6-2 in league play and 13-6 overall.

Montana scores 75.6 points per game and surrenders 67.8 points per contest.

The Grizzlies are led by redshirt senior guard Ahmaad Rorie (16.2 points per game), redshirt senior forward Jamar Akoh and senior guard Michael Oguine (13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds per game).

The Wildcats lead the Grizzlies 70-57 all-time but Montana has a 2-game winning streak in the series.

Furthermore, the Grizzlies have won 10 out of the last 11 games in the series at Dahlberg Arena.
