(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox says he plans to release some sort of an emergency order related to Utah’s drought situation. Yesterday, he insisted that the state is well prepared because it’s been saving money for a potentially bad fire season. Over 90-percent of Utah is now in a severe drought. About 60-percent of the state is facing an extreme or exceptional drought. It’s possible there will be fireworks restrictions this year during the 4th of July and Pioneer Day.
