OGDEN, Utah-Following their first 4-0 start in 24 years, Weber State football rose to No. 7 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll Monday. The Wildcats are also No. 8 in the STATS FCS Poll.

Weber State is among four Big Sky Conference squads ranked in the Top 7 in the AFCA Poll. Others include Montana (No. 2), Montana State (No.4) and Sacramento State (No. 5).

The Wildcats have started the season with wins over squads from NCAA Division II (Western Oregon), NCAA FBS (Utah State) and their peers in NCAA FCS and the Big Sky, UC Davis as well as fellow NCAA FCS non-conference foe Utah Tech.

Weber State takes this week off before returning to action October 8 at Stewart Stadium against Eastern Washington. The Eagles are visiting FBS No. 20 Florida at Gainesville, Fla. this Saturday.
