SALEM, Utah-In the stead of injured signal-caller Adarius Edwards, reserve quarterback Quezon Villa threw four touchdown passes as the Wasatch Wasps pounded the Salem Hills Skyhawks 41-12 Friday in the Region 9 season opener for both squads.
Villa’s touchdown passes were to La’a Kalama (40 and 17 yards), Joshua Sanders (10 yards) and Crew Erickson (30 yards).
Villa added a 6-yard scoring run for the Wasps and Ashton Southam had field goals of 42 and 27 yards for Wasatch.
The Wasps improved to 4-1 with the win.
Wasatch next hosts Maple Mountain Friday at 7:00 pm at Wright-Tree Stadium.
