5-A Third Round
HOLLADAY, Utah-Zach Goodrich drove in a pair of runs and the Olympus Titans routed Wasatch 8-0, ending the Wasps’ season in the third round of the 5-A baseball tournament. The Titans won this best-of-three series 2-0 and now to the championship round, commencing May 24 at Cate Field on the campus of Salt Lake Community College. Josh Vandennaker earned the win on the mound for Olympus, posting six strikeouts in as many innings for the Titans, who improve to 24-2. Wasatch ends the season at 15-12.

5-A Third Round
HEBER CITY, Utah-Andrea Sweat posted 9 RBI and earned the win in the circle as the Wasatch Wasps drilled Maple Mountian 18-3 in the third round of the 5-A softball tournament. The Wasps won the best-of-3 series, 2-0. Wasatch next advances to the softball championship round which commences May 25 at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex. Maclee McPhie and Kendyl Purdy added 3 RBI apiece in victory for the Wasps, whose record improves to 18-6-1 (.740) on the season.
Boys Soccer
5-A State Quarterfinals
HEBER CITY, Utah-Edgar Garcia and Gabe Manning each scored as the Wasatch Wasps doubled up Spanish Fork 2-1 Friday in the 5-A state soccer quarterfinals. Garcia and Ryan Hanley added assists for the Wasps in the win. Davis Paxton found the net in defeat for the Dons. The Wasps next face No. 4 seed Maple Mountain Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the state semifinals at Herriman High School.
