Wasatch High School Golf Star Tyson Clyde Places 10th Overall At 5-A State Golf

WASATCH MOUNTAIN STATE PARK, Utah-Tuesday, Wasatch High School senior Tyson Clyde tied for 10th overall as the 5-A state boys golf tournament drew to a close at Soldier Hollow Golf Course.

Clyde finished -1 overall, tying for 10th with Woods Cross senior Braxton Haslam, Farmington senior Willard Richards, Timpview senior Nathan Giles, Bonneville junior Max Togisala and Skyline junior Sean Lam.

Skyline senior Tyson Shelley won the individual state title by posting a score of -16 with 128 strokes.

Skyline won the overall team title, posting a score of -35 and only using 541 strokes.

The dynastic Eagles won their 11th all-time state boys golf title, including their third in a row.

Skyline has won state boys golf titles in 1971, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1988, 1992, 2006, 2018 and 2019.
