OREM, Utah-Helaman Casuga threw four touchdown passes and the No. 2 Timpview Thunderbirds routed No. 23 Wasatch 63-21 Friday at Mountain View High School in the 5A state quarterfinals.

In defeat for the Wasps, Kelson Mack completed 26 of 47 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns. Crew Erickson (15 rec, 220 yards, TD) also excelled in defeat for the Wasps.

Timpview next faces No. 11 Orem Friday at 2:30 pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah in the 5A state semifinals.

OREM, Utah-Lance Reynolds threw a pair of touchdown passes and the No. 19 Orem Tigers outlasted the No. 11 Alta Hawks 26-24 in the 5A state quarterfinals Friday.

Noah Flores had an 85-yard touchdown run and a 73-yard scoring reception in the loss for the Hawks.

LEHI, Utah-Carson Gonzalez had three touchdown runs and the No. 1 Lehi Pioneers outlasted No. 9 Box Elder 28-21 Friday in the 5A state quarterfinals. Ryan Griffin had two touchdown runs in the loss for the Bees. Lehi next faces No. 4 Stansbury Friday at 11:00 am in the state semifinals at the University of Utah.

STANSBURY PARK, Utah-Ezra Harris threw three touchdown passes and the No. 4 Stansbury Stallions clobbered No. 21 Olympus 42-7 Friday in the 5A state quarterfinals. Chase Moseley threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Luke Bryant in the loss for the Titans.
