SALEM, Utah-Thursday, the Wasatch boys placed fifth and the the girls placed third at the Region 9 track and field championships at Salem Hills High School.

The Wasps’ girls placed second in the 4 x 800. The heroines were Naomi Cemyar, Taylor Tustian, Lillie Randall and Kate Giles.

The Wasatch boys placed second in the 4 x 800. The Wasps’ protagonists in this event included Brock Coombs, Isaac Horner, Jake Giles and Carson Guymon.

.Madi Durrant is the Region 9 girls champion in the 200 in a time of 25.41 seconds.

The Wasatch girls won the Region 9 4 x 400 championship in a time of 4:05.00. The Wasps’ heroines in this event were Brooke Hunsaker, Megan Hunsaker, Kate Giles and Madi Durrant.
