DENVER-Monday, Utah Valley junior guard Le’Tre Darthard was named as the WAC men’s basketball player of the wek.

Darthard, a native of Denton, Texas, scored 25 points and made 8-12 from the field, including 7-11 from range, in an 88-78 win over Long Beach State Saturday.

Darthard averages 11.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Wolverines on the season.

Darthard and his UVU teammates return to action Wednesday by visiting crosstown rival BYU at the Marriott Center in a non-conference tilt.
