OREM, Utah-Wednesday, Utah Valley men’s basketball head coach Todd Phillips announced the signing of McCook CC (Neb.) guard Simon Akena.

The 6’6″ Akena averaged 15.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game last season for the Indians.

The native of Stockholm, Sweden has also played at Three Rivers College of Poplar Bluff, Mo. during his collegiate career.
