COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Monday, Utah State football freshman safety Ike Larsen was named the Mountain West defensive player of the week and freshman of the week by the Mountain West Conference.

In the Aggies’ 41-34 win over Hawaii Saturday, the native of Smithfield, Utah returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown against the Rainbow Warriors.

Utah State forced a season-high four turnovers and netted three interceptions and a fumble recovery in the win over Hawaii.

Utah State returns to action Saturday at home against San Jose State. This is the Aggies’ home finale and is therefore Senior Day.
