Triple A-West

SALT LAKE CITY-Chad Wallach, Scott Schebler, Jose Rojas and Luis Rengifo all homered and the Salt Lake Bees clobbered Reno 11-1 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.

Cooper Criswell earned the win on the mound for the Bees, improving to 2-1 on the season while Salt Lake improved to 43-49.

Jake McCarthy hit a solo shot in the top of the 1st Inning for the Aces, giving the 55-38 squad a short-lived 1-0 lead.

The Bees took complete control thereafter, scoring the last 11 runs of the game.

Salt Lake and Reno will play a Monday doubleheader, consisting of two 7-inning games with the opening pitch of the first game at 5:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Nate Scantlin went yard and the Grand Junction Rockies bested Ogden 5-3 Sunday in the first game of a Pioneer League doubleheader at Suplizio Field. Cade Crader went the distance on the mound for the Rockies, pitching all seven innings to post the victory.

Grand Junction improved to 43-33 on the season with the win. Pavin Parks homered in defeat for the Raptors as they fell to 44-35.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Jakob Goldfarb hit his 26th home run of the season and the Ogden Raptors earned a split with Grand Junction in the second game of a Sunday doubleheader at Suplizio Field in Pioneer League play, prevailing 8-2.

Jackson Sigman earned the win on the mound for Ogden as the Raptors improved to 45-35. Josh Elvir had 2 RBI for Grand Junction in the loss as the Rockies fell to 43-34.

Monday, the Rockies and Raptors conclude their series with a 6:40 pm opening pitch at Suplizio Field.
