Utah Football’s Clark Phillips III Named Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Monday, Utah sophomore starting cornerback Clark Phillips III was named the Walter Camp National FBS Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the now-No. 11 Utes’ 42-16 win over Oregon State for Homecoming.

Phillips recorded three interceptions, including a pick six in the rout of the Beavers.

Phillips is one of six Utes all-time to receive this honor since 2004 and the first since defensive end Hunter Dimick in 2016.

Utah returns to action Saturday by visiting the No. 18 UCLA Bruins, who have started the season 5-0.
