SOUTHAMPTON, Pa.-Tuesday morning, Utah star sophomore cornerback Clark Phillips III was named the Bednarik Defensive Player of the Week for his attainments in the Utes’ 42-16 win over Oregon State last Saturday.

Phillips III intercepted three passes, including a pick six in Utah’s Homecoming rout of the Beavers.

His three interceptions are the most in a game in FBS college football this season.

The Utes return to action Saturday at 1:30 pm as they visit UCLA.
