Utah Football’s Cameron Rising Enjoys Successful Tuesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah football junior quarterback Cameron Rising was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for his performance in the Utes’ 43-42 win over then-No. 7 USC last Saturday.

Rising (29 of 43, 415 yards, 2 TD’s; 11 car, 60 yard, 3 TD’s against the Trojans) obtained a place on the honor roll as it recognizes versatility and high-level performances in FBS competition.

Rising is ninth nationally in points responsible for (130) and ranks 24th in the nation in completion percentage (68.8 percent).

Additionally, he is 21st nationally in passing efficiency (161.5), 20th in passing yards (1,855) and is tied for 22nd in passing touchdowns (15).

Rising was also named the co-Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week along with Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker.
