SALT LAKE CITY-Per Wednesday news, University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham signed a new contract by virtue of his success in leading the Utes to their first Rose Bowl appearance last season.
The contract runs through 2027, as the previous one did, but increases his pay to $6 million in the 2022 season and exceeds the original contract by $8 million.
In a statement released Wednesday, Utah athletic director Mark Harlan said “Kyle Whittingham has elevated our football program to the highest levels of success, while also establishing a culture of excellence that prioritizes the academic achievement and overall development of our student-athletes.”
