CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball head coach Todd Simon announced the addition of Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn Jr. to the Thunderbirds’ staff as an assistant coach.

Nairn Jr. comes to the program after spending last season as the head coach at Sunrise Christian Academy of Bel Aire, Kan.

Nairn Jr. has previously served as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Michigan State, and as a player development coach with the Phoenix Suns.

While playing for the Spartans from 2014-18, Nairn Jr. averaged 2.5 points and 3 assists per game for legendary coach Tom Izzo.

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Nairn Jr. has also played for the Bahamian National Team throughout his career.
