ST. GEORGE, Utah-In an announcement this week, the City of St. George confirmed this year’s marathon has been canceled.

Officials for the rapidly-growing southern Utah city said this is because of the inability to provide adequate health and safety protections for race participants and volunteers.

The next St. George Marathon is expected to occur October 2, 2021.

Each registered participant has the option of a full refund or the deferral to the 2021 St. George Marathon.
