CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University athletics confirmed the Thunderbirds’ football squad will visit BYU as part of its 2025 non-conference schedule.

This game is slated for September 6 at LaVell Edwards Stadium of Provo.

SUU’s athletics department also confirmed the T-Birds’ game against the Cougars in 2023 will be moved up to September 9 from the originally scheduled November 18 contest.

This is because of the Cougars’ acceptance into the Big 12 Conference.

BYU and SUU have met once on the gridiron with the Cougars vanquishing the T-Birds 37-7 in 2016 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Additionally, the Cougars will host the Sam Houston State Bearkats September 2, 2003 at LaVell Edwards Stadium to commence the season.
