SALT LAKE CITY-John Nogowksi hit a three-run homer in the 7th Inning to give Sacramento the lead for good as the River Cats downed Salt Lake 8-5 in Triple A-West play Friday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Norwith Gudino earned the win on the mound for the River Cats, improving to 4-1 on the season.

Sacramento improved to 53-66 with the victory.

Taylor Ward homered in the loss for the Bees as they fell to 50-71.

The Bees and River Cats meet again Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
