OGDEN, Utah-Josh Elvir homered and the Grand Junction Rockies waxed Ogden 12-7 Thursday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play.

Ari Kaufman earned the win on the mound for Grand Junction, posting three strikeouts in four innings of work.

This was Grand Junction’s first win of the season as the Rockies improved to 1-1.

Josh Broughton and Freddy Achecar had a pair of RBI in defeat for the Raptors, who fell to 1-1 on the young season.

Grand Junction and Ogden meet again Friday at 7:00 pm at Lindquist Field in the third game of this series.
