River Cats Defeat Bees on Fielding Error in 9th Sunday

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Tyler Fitzgerald and Will Wilson scored on a fielding error in the bottom of the 9th Inning by Salt Lake Bees third baseman Taylor Jones, and the Sacramento River Cats prevailed 4-3 Sunday to conclude the series at Sutter Health Park.

The loss dropped the Bees to 16-22 on the season as they have lost six of their last seven games, including five of six against the River Cats this week.

Wilson added a home run in victory for Sacramento as the River Cats improved to 19-19.

Melvin Adón earned the win on the mound for Sacramento, recording two strikeouts in one inning of work. This was Adón’s first win of the season for the River Cats.

Trey Cabbage homered in defeat for the Bees, as they fell to 16-23.

Salt Lake returns to action Tuesday by hosting the Las Vegas Aviators for a six-game series at Smith’s Ballpark.
