EL PASO, Texas-Alfonso Rivas belted a pair of home runs, including a walk-off shot in the bottom of the 9th Inning as the El Paso Chihuahuas got past Salt Lake 8-7 Thursday at Southwest University Park in Pacific Coast League Play.
Eric Hanhold earned the win on the mound for El Paso, as he obtained a 1.80 ERA in 0.1 innings of work on the evening.
Mickey Moniak netted two home runs in defeat for the Bees. This was Salt Lake’s 11th loss in the past 12 games as the Bees stumbled to 9-15 on the season.
The Chihuahuas improved to 10-14 on the season in victory. The Bees and Chihuahuas return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Southwest University Park.
