SALT LAKE CITY-Nick Heath drove in four runs and the Reno Aces routed Salt Lake 12-5 Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark to improve to 5-1 on the season.
This concludes the first series of the season for the Aces and the Bees with Salt Lake falling to 1-5.
Harrison Wenson pulled the Bees to within 6-5 in the top of the 8th Inning on a sacrifice fly RBI before the Aces put the game away in the 9th.
Doing the honors for Reno were Domingo Leyba, Seth Beer and Ben DeLuzio each homering in the frame to put the game out of reach.
Corbin Martin earned the win on the mound for the Aces to improve to 1-0 on the season.
The Bees take a day off Wednesday before returning to action Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark against the Tacoma Rainiers for another six-game slate.
