SALT LAKE CITY-Drew Ellis and Domingo Leyba each homered as the Reno Aces downed the Salt Lake Bees 5-4 in the season opener for both squads in Triple A-West action at Smith’s Ballpark.

Leyba also added an insurance double for Reno in the top of the 8th Inning, giving the Aces a 5-2 lead.

Luis Rengifo went yard and Jo Adell added an RBI double for the Bees in the loss.

Miguel Aguilar earned the win on the mound for the Aces. Yoan Lopez earned the save for the Aces to secure the victory.

The Bees and Aces are again in action Friday evening at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
