SALT LAKE CITY-Taylor Trammell posted 5 RBI and the Tacoma Rainiers snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 7-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees Monday at Smith’s Ballpark.
Trammell got Tacoma going early with a 3-run homer in the 1st Inning for a 3-0 Rainiers lead.
After the Bees tied things up 3-3 following a 2nd Inning Preston Palmeiro RBI double and a Kean Wong RBI double in the 4th Inning, Trammell struck again with a sacrifice fly RBI in the 5th Inning.
Eric Campbell added an RBI single in the 5th Inning for the Rainiers to give Tacoma a 5-3 lead.
In the top of the 6th Inning, Luis Liberato had an RBI single for Tacoma and Trammell concluded the scoring with a 7th Inning RBI double. Tacoma improved to 5-6 with the win while Salt Lake fell to 4-7 in defeat.
The Bees and Rainiers return to action Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
