SALT LAKE CITY-Taylor Trammell homered and Drew Ellis added an RBI single as the Tacoma Rainiers blanked Salt Lake 2-0 in Pacific Coast League play Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Darren McCaughan posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work for the Rainiers. He improved to 8-6 on the season.

The Rainiers improved to 54-64 on the season in victory. The Bees fell to 55-63 with the loss.

The Bees and Rainiers resume their series Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
