Triple A-West
SALT LAKE CITY-Jacob Wilson and Nate Mondou homered and the Las Vegas Aviators outlasted the Salt Lake Bees 8-6 Thurday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.
Las Vegas built a 5-0 lead in the 4th Inning on an RBI single from Greg Deichmann and Wilson’s home run, a 3-run shot.
The Bees tied things up 5-5 in the bottom of the 6th on a 2-run RBI triple from Jack Mayfield.
The Aviators regained the lead in the top of the 7th on a Deichmann ground-out RBI for a 6-5 Las Vegas advantage.
In the bottom of the 8th, Jon Jay’s RBI single tied the Bees up with the Aviators 6-6.
Mondou’s home run in the top of the 9th propelled Las Vegas to victory. The Aviators improved to 22-21 on the season with the win.
Reymin Guduan earned the win on the mound for Las Vegas in his first appearance for the Aviators on the season.
The Bees fell to 18-24 with the loss.
Las Vegas and Salt Lake meet again Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
Pioneer League
MISSOULA, Mont.-Dean Nevarez homered and the Missoula Paddleheads downed Ogden 9-7 Thursday in Pioneer League play at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field.
Brandon Riley added 3 RBI for the Paddleheads, who improved to 21-9 on the season with the win.
Felix Dieguez earned the win on the mound for Missoula.
Josh Broughton and David Maberry homered in defeat for the Raptors, who fell to 20-9.
The Raptors and Paddleheads meet again Friday at 7:05 pm at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field.
