OREM, Utah-Zach Evans drove in the game-winning run and earned the win on the mound as the Lehi Pioneers edged Olympus 4-3 Saturday at UCCU Ballpark in the 5A state baseball finals.

The win allowed the Pioneers to down the Titans 2-0 in the championship series and record their third all-time state championship in baseball.

Lehi has won state baseball titles in 1978, 1981 and 2022.

The Pioneers concluded a successful sports season as they also won the 5A state football title this past autumn.

Mic Paul, Ashton Johnson and Luke Affleck all drove in a run for the Titans in the loss.

This is the last 5A state championship to be decided during this season.
